Why commission an original music score ?
There are many quality music libraries out there with great music.... so why is important to have an original score for your project ? Well the answer lies in the fact that you can rely on the score fully complementing your production in a way that could never be done using off the shelf recordings. It is a well known fact that the music 'makes' a production come to life. If this was done with library music then great.. but then the same music will be used time and time again on various productions turning your production from original to pastiche. The music may also be assoiciated with another brand or mood that will not suit your project. So the answer is 'yes' use off the shelf music.... but for style ,quality and uniqueness go original and commission a score !
How does it work ?
The music making process starts with you contacting us via telephone or email. We can give you rough estimates over the phone . The client usually sends a video of the project as it is prior to any meetings. We meet and discuss requirements, or for straight forward jobs we will contact you with a quote. We meet and spot the film or discuss your preferences and ideas. we then send roughs (or the finished article )for your approval. If you need edits these can be agreed. Finally , after you are happy with all the music we master it and send the finished music on your preferred medium, together with the license for you to use this music.
At all stages of the music making process we are open to changes. If edits are needed after completion, these can be done quickly and efficiently from our archives at a competitive rate.
Prices ?
We can operate from low budget ( Contact for our special short film rates ) to million pound scores played by top orchestras, sung by top choirs and recorded to the best possible standard available. Music can be done in stereo to surround sound as required.
